2011 National Tribal GIS Conference

The 2011 National Tribal GIS Conference will be held right here in New Mexico at the SIPI (the Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque), from Onday October 24th through Thursday morning October 28th, 2011.
The conference theme is "Bridging New Technologies and Old Traditions Through GIS”, and the agenda looks jam-packed with good presentations. On Monday, a series of workshops will be conducted:

  • "Introduction to ArcGIS 10"
  • "Mobile GIS Data Collection using TerraSync and Pathfinder Office"
  • Introduction to Maps on the Web""
  • "Collect and Maintain Road Data within GIS: Planning and I.R.R. Submittal"
  • "Exploring Ground penetrating Radar (GPR) in Subsurface Imagery"
